Homareya is a warm and welcoming culinary space in Long Beach, California, where traditional Japanese craftsmanship meets the free-spirited creativity of California. Founded by Kyoto-born chef Yoya Takahashi, the restaurant reflects his deep respect for heritage and his passion for expressive cooking.

While sushi remains Yoya’s core discipline, Homareya offers a wide range of dishes— from binchotan-grilled yakitori to inventive Japanese comfort food— all prepared in a live, open-kitchen style that engages the senses and celebrates the beauty of everyday Japanese cuisine.
